Rectum Hurts after Bowel Movement

Pain after a bowel movement usually occurs following an abnormally large stool, diarrhea caused by the consumption of spicy food, anal itching or scratching or constipation. If this is the case then it is perfectly normal and the pain should pass after an hour or so.

Cure – Rectum Hurts after Bowel Movement

If the pain is not accompanied by the aforementioned large stool, constipation or diarrhea; and you can’t put your finger on any obvious causes such as injury then consult your physician if symptoms persist.

If it is injury related then it is obvious to suggest avoiding the cause of the injury as much as possible to allow it to heal. Hemorrhoids are easily treatable with creams readily available at your local pharmacy, and a hot bath can also aid the discomfort.
