Large / Huge Bowel Movement
Trying to explain a large bowel movement is dependant on the individual. If it is larger than usual, uncomfortable to pass, or makes you want to comment on it; then it is likely to be abnormal.
What Causes Large / Huge Bowel Movement
Often a large bowel movement is the cause of not having had enough time to go, or after a bout of constipation – so in essence it is the result of a build up. If this is the case then the stool will most likely be hard, possibly even painful to pass.
On rare occasion a large bowel movement can be a sign of a blockage in the digestive tract.
Cure for Large / Huge Bowel Movement
Eating a lot of whole grains, (like whole grain bread instead of white, oatmeal, popcorn, wheat), fresh fruit, and vegetables, and increasing the amount of water you drink will help increase the regularity of your bowel movements. If you're still having a problem, take a stool softener daily (not a laxative). Stool softeners will make it more comfortable for you to go, and you will not become dependant on them.
Taking the time to not rush each toilet visit will also aid the matter.
If you are worried then a visit to your medical practitioner will get to the root of the matter and they will be able to inform you of the best treatment necessary.
